Mayor Tussing Awaits Results

By Stephanie Domurat

BILLINGS - Mayor Ron Tussing awaits results to see if he will pick up the party seat for Public Service Commissioner.

Tussing is currently leading with the absentee votes with a less than 10% lead of the votes against Tom Curry. Tussing says if he wins the nomination he will have to end his position as mayor early. He says he is hopeful about results Tuesday night.

"You have to work really hard, and we intend to do that if we get through Tuesday night, we've worked really hard up until this point since February 29th when we announced, but it's going to be a long five months of really hard work if I win the primary Tuesday night."

Tussing says he will still be happy if he does not win the nomination Tuesday night, and continue serving as mayor.
