BILLINGS - It started with an overseas trip, but a desire to write about it lead Nancy Brook towards being recognized at the Indie Book Awards.

The Billings woman wrote "Cycling, Wine, and Men - A Midlife Tour de France" after she visited the European county. She went on the trip after a series of failed relationships.

The book is a finalist in the memoirs and travel guides categories at the Indy Book Awards, and scheduled to be handed out on May 24th in New York.

Brook said the nominations are a huge honor for her.

"I really believe that our stories are our gift to the world. And so, when we can find our story, and share it with others, it inspires them to find their stories, and hopefully, altogether, we learn how to heal and grow."
