Fundraiser For Kidney Transplant

BILLINGS - The Flathers Family are no strangers to health issues. Twenty-five years ago, Tim Flathers went through dialysis and a kidney transplant. Now, his 29-year-old son is looking to bear the same operation.

"He's really tired. Toxins are building up in his body so he's run down and gets tired easily," said Toby's younger sister, Sarah.

But Toby is $30,000 dollars away from treatment. His family is striving to help pay for the medical costs and hope that organizing a community sale will help.

"It's an incredible feeling to see people come in and open up their hearts," said Sarah. "You can just feel the love pour out of them." Located next to IGA in Laurel, the sale starts Thursday and continues through the weekend.

"He's an awesome friend, he's always been there when we needed it and now it's our turn to give back to him," said Toby's younger sister Torey.

While he's currently serving his church in Kansas City, Toby's health is fading. But in the end, his sisters believe they'll have the money to save the man who's volunteered his life to helping others.

Those interested in helping Toby can donate to Toby's kidney fund at Yellowstone Bank.
