We caught up with a secretary at Boulder Elementary during her busy day at school. This special day honors the nearly 600 educational support professionals working for Billings Public Schools. This includes custodians, special needs assistants, maintenance workers to name a few. This also includes the secretary whose title doesn't do the job justice. "I wear like probably ten different hats," says Lauren Graves.

While we were at Boulder Elementary Mrs. Lauren Graves took phone calls, dealt with a belly ache, answered random questions and, well, more. "I laugh and say I'm a mom, nurse, custodian, secretary-all those things rolled into one because you do anything that's asked of you.", says Lauren Graves. And so do the other 15 support professionals working at the school. But sometimes they don't get the credit they deserve.

"They take those guys for granted because they do what they do and they do a great job, so you just take them for granted and you think everything will run smoothly because they are doing what they need to do," she says.

And so, a big job well done goes out to all the education support professionals in the Billings School District who may sometimes go unnoticed. ESP Day was first celebrated in 1987.
