BILLINGS - About 300 two-to-four year olds in the Billings area were given the H1N1flu vaccine over the weekend during a community clinic put on by RiverStone Health. It was not the turnout that was expected.

Some people still have concerns about the vaccine and there's uncertainty over who should get it.

Infectious disease specialist Dr. David Graham with Billings Clinic says, "We're seeing that in fact pregnant women have a four times greater mortality risk from H1N1 than the general population. I would strongly recommend them to talk to their physicians about getting an H1N1shot. Perhaps people over 65 don't even need an H1N1 shot. Again, we talked about they have natural immunity to this and they are not a priority group to get this shot."

Because of the lower than expected turnout over the weekend RiverStone Health has announced Billings Clinic and the children's clinic at St. Vincent Healthcare will each receive 200 doses to immunize healthy two to four year old children. The availability of the vaccine is expected to change over the next few months.

As a mom I would be too freaked out to put a untested vaccine into me or my child especially with its past history and also the reviews from australia stating that he has a connection with gullian bullian syndrome . I rather have natural remedies on hand like tulsi tea, raw honey for ages 1 and older , keep yourself warm in cold weather, have elderberry lozenges on hand ,take garlic, up your vit d, vit c, take zinc, lemon tea is really good remedy if you get bronchitis .

There's just something about putting a live virus into a child's body and just hoping and praying that he'll be okay is bothersome! Especially since this vaccine hasn't had the chance to be tested over a longer period of time! Yeah it's made from the seasonal infuenza vaccine, but as a scientists should know- changing the dose, adding new chemicals, or taking chemicals out of a compound completely changes the final compound.

Clearly you don't have children or you would feel the horror that parents feel when they contemplate their children contracting and possibly dying from this flu, most parents are just not sure what to do.

This is disgusting. Shooting attenuated live virus into the nostrils of children as young as 2 year olds, so that they can spread it around in schools and daycares. Genius. 2.5% transmission rate for 21 days after receiving the mist. And, the ones that receive the mist may be healthy, but they become carriers that can spread it to the less than healthy people out there. And parents volunteering their children to be human guinea pigs for something that is experimental and unproven?
