BILLINGS - With the recent attention surrounding the Swine flu, state officials urge Montanans not to forget their usual seasonal vaccines this year.

Officials with the Department of Public Health and Human Services say while the focus remains on the H1N1 strain, it's the seasonal flu that causes more concern each year. Health officials recommend getting the vaccine as soon as it's available, since it won't wear off before the end of flu season. State officials say the vaccine could be available as soon as late August. The flu shot is highly recommended for young children, the elderly and those with health concerns. The vaccine will not protect against the H1N1 virus. But the CDC says that could be developed by the Fall, which can be taken in addition to the seasonal vaccine.
