BILLINGS - A triple surprise for the Family Birth Center at Billings Clinic Tuesday, "It's very amazing and very exciting for our department," said Beth Roach, clinical coordinator for the Family Birth Center.
Three sets of twins born in one day; an unprecedented feat for the hospital.
All six babies, along with the moms and dads, are healthy.
Two sets were delivered through cesarean and one naturally.
Roach said they have been seeing an increase in the number of multiple births in recent years.
"I think a lot of it is the progression in science, you know with invitrofertilization and the different medications we use," said Roach.
She said the Family Birth Center is also caring for two more sets of twins born in December and mid January.

The Family Birth Center is great! Having a neonatologist and maternal/fetal medicine specialist for moms makes it safe and good place to have twins!
