Your money: Walgreens plans to close around 600 stores
Walgreens plans to shutter 600 drugstores as it completes a deal to buy nearly 2,000 of them from rival Rite Aid. A company spokesman says most of the closings will be Rite Aid stores. A majority of which will be within a mile of another store in the Walgreens network. The closings are set to start next spring and be completed over a year and a half. Walgreens has not said which of the stores will be closing.
