    SPOKANE, Wash. - In case you missed the first week of production for "Z Nation" in downtown Spokane, we wanted to share the photos we captured of the Zombies we could see lingering around, outside the KHQ station. Filming for the SyFy network's 'Z Nation' is underway! We sent our photographer Reed Schmitt over to the set to get up close and personal.

    WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. - One person died in a crash near Colfax Friday morning on Highway 195.
    WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. - One person died in a crash near Colfax Friday morning on Highway 195. The Washington State Patrol told KHQ 20-year-old Sammuel Thompson of Colfax, was driving north on Highway 195 near Albion Road when he crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on in the southbound lane. Thompson died at the scene.

    THE DALLES, Ore. - The Oregon Department of Forestry lifted evacuation orders Saturday for 740 homes near a Columbia Gorge wildfire. Officials say residents should remain on alert. The Oregon fire has burned 5 square miles since it started Tuesday. After burnouts on Friday and early Saturday, it is 55 percent contained.

    NINE MILE FALLS, Wash. - The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the identity of the the male found in the river in Nine Mile Falls, WA on Monday, May 12th. The man has been identified as 51-year-old Michael Lloyd McCann. The cause of his death is still being investigated. As soon as we get more information, we will update this story.
