Anchor/Reporter

Kathy Weber joined the KULR-8 News team February 2008 as reporter and co-anchor for the 6 and 10 o'clock newscasts.  She's thrilled to be able to pursue her passion for storytelling in Big Sky Country.
Kathy is returning to Billings after anchoring and reporting at KPAX-TV in Missoula since 2004. Prior to that she worked as a reporter, producer and anchor at KTVQ in Billings from 2002 to 2004. She became hooked on news after getting her first taste of the business as an intern working behind the scenes at KING-5 television in Seattle,
Washington.
T
he Montana Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists have honored Kathy's work in feature, enterprise, spot news and
investigative reporting.
She believes everyone has a story and sees journalism as a way to make a difference by connecting people and empowering them with information. Kathy says she's always honored when someone chooses to tell her their story and considers it a blessing to work in a field she loves while staying close to
her roots in Montana.
When she's not scrutinizing news scripts or searching for a scoop, you can find Kathy exploring the great outdoors, rafting Montana rivers and spending precious family time with her husband, Joe, young daughter, Isalei and their
German Shepherd, Chief.
Kathy earned a Master's degree in Political Science at the University of Montana in Missoula after graduating from UM's award-winning Professional
School of Journalism.
